El Tinto Lot 43
This Zinfandel/Barbera blend spotlights the dark berry fruit of Zin with the red fruit characters of Barbera. A big wine with a huge entry of cherry and boysenberry, the 77% Zinfandel in the blend drives the wine all the way into the mid-palate where the 23% Barbera starts to take charge with its cranberry/red cherry focus (and balancing acidity). The finish, though, rounds back to berry flavors of Zin, lingering with an intertwining pinch of sweet vanilla oak. Great with barbecue and comfort foods alike!
