The color has a slight orange (bricky or brickish) hue at the edges.  The aroma is a little caramelized, with tawny characters, some golden raisin and cherry, adding strawberry as it opens up.  The flavors on the palate are mixed berry, with nice integrations of alcohol.  Long finish with ample silky tannins. 

Dense, deep color with chocolaty notes, spice and the skin of a plum in the nose.  There is a mixed berry approach, a round palate with lots of blueberry with a background of cocoa andd cinnamon ending with a smooth, warm spice finish. 

The color is dense, dark garnet but with a slight pinkish-violet hue at the edge.  The nose is complex with sweet spice with vanilla, floral, blossomy violet and blackberry preserve.  The flavor has layered plum, blackberry and slight spice with pleasant and lively acidity.  This port finishes with echoes of violet and fine silky tannins that quickly fade and disappear.  

Vibrant carmine and ruby color.  Red berries, currants and vanilla in the nose.  Cherry and red berry fruit flavors with a weightier, serious palate.  The finish is clean yet lingering, with fruit and spice echoing back and forth.  

Dense ruby with a noticeable brickish aura.  The aroma is cocoa layered with boysenberry.  The entry is bright with red berry, allspice, and nutmeg, moving seamlessly into a smooth, rich palate texture with berry pie and hints of chocolate.  The finish is lean and spice tapering into tannin structure. 

The color is very ruby and stable.  Plum, pipe tobacco, and cocoa notes in the aromas with cherry at the base.  There is a lean approach with fresh yellow plum and complex spices in the flavors.  Elegant texture with exceptional integration of alcohol.  The finish is lean and silky.

Deep garnet color.  This is the rare Port in which spice complexity is almost more prevalent than fruit.  Cocoa and cinnamon in the nose with a background of boysenberry and plum, blackberry entry with the molasses and brown sugar mid-palate, finishing with dark cherry and plum. 

Dense dark garnet with gorgeous carmine edge.  Dark cherry and vanilla aromas open to warm plum.  Bright acidity brings red and dark cherry flavors to a lively palate with a pleasingly lean texture.  The cherry lingers seamlessly through the finish.

A ruby style focused on fresh fruit characters, this blend highlights the Tinta Cao and the Alvarahao.  The aromas embrace more of a blueberry/black cherry essence.  The result is a complex experience of berry fruit, orange peel and elements of sweet chocolate.  These characters carry over directly into the palate whose hallmark is the balance.  The sensation is that this port has a slightly drier palate, but in reality, I think the walnut lingering black tea flavors on the finish ultimately make this wine truly special.

Super complex, wonderfully balanced.  Never alcoholic or syrupy-sweet.  The nose is both a high-toned fruit (raspberry/cranberry) and a wonderfully spicy/herbal character.  The palate is luscious and rich but then evens out to an elegant layering of dark berry fruit, woodsy spice and compex savory notes.

Seamless in nature, the texture is velvety as it runs across the taste buds with hints of sweet spice bringing all the fruit characters together. And interestingly, there's a beautiful floral note on the lingering finish that makes this New-World Port one of the most complex and unique of all the vintages we've produced!

This nose is wonderfully complex with walnut and hazelnut aromas marrying with a bit of a candy-like character.  It's the first sip, though, that really is the reward for this wine.  Luscious and sweet, a glorious almost cotton-candy essence floods the palate while the nuttiness balances the character.  Dried plum and hints of orange keep the palate complex and inviting, but it's definitely the seductive texture that draws you back for just one more sip.  Limit 2 bottles.
